Most of the larger animals in the Antarctic are pretty smart although intelligence is hard to measure even in people. The animals in the Antarctic are very well adapted to living there. Most of them are very inquisitive (which is a sign of intelligence) and as they are not scared of people they will come up close to you if you are quiet and sit still.
Orcas are always considered to be very smart and have the second biggest brains of all marine mammals. They have been seen to learn things from each other, amd working as a team, helping them to catch their prey such as deliberately stranding themselves to catch sea lions or joining together to create waves to wash seals off ice floes.
