I have a science degree – specifically in Pharmacology, which is basically a mix of biology and chemistry, and looks at the way that medicines act within the body. I did lots of classes that covered physiology, psychology, neuroscience and toxicology too.

My first degree is a BSc in Mathematics. I then did a second degree where I decided to specialise and studied for a MSc in Medical Statistics.

I have a degree in Marine Biology but it also had a lot of maths in it as part of the course. Most science subjects use a great deal of maths so it is a brilliant subject to study.
Even though I am a biologist I use complex mathematics and computing every day of my job.
