Great question, shroom! It is currently possible for humans to live on Mars – technically! It would cost us a lot of money to do this though.

First, we’ll need to create the conditions for humans to live on Mars. This would mean creating a shelter on Mars that filters out the radiation from space, keeps us warm, and provides a breathable atmosphere.

Second, we would need to transport our supplies up there. The amount of supplies of course will decide how long we can stay there for! To sustain a permanent livelihood on Mars, we would need to grow our food on Mars (because of the way photosynthesis works, this would also provide a breathable atmosphere!). This is currently a big problem that scientists are working on!

Finally, we would need to move ourselves to Mars. The journey would take several months, and might not be very fun because it’d involve being shut up in a very small spaceship. And the wifi would be incredibly slow – so bring a good book!

      Over and out.
