Apparently Earth is getting heavier every year…….can you think why? No, it’s not because I eat too much cake…..

Cool question! I did some searching and research has estimated that the Earth ways 6,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000 kg – so pretty heavy!
Emma Crawford answered on 11 Nov 2018:
According to google, the Earth weighs 5.972 × 10^24 kg, So that’s 5,972,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kg which is 5.972 quadrillion kg! HEAVY :O

Is it because more and more people are being born so the weight from the new humans are adding to the weight of the world?

Good thinking. Earth is getting heavier because there is so much dust from outer space landing on the surface, usually plonking into the sea and sinking to the bottom. Cool eh?
