• Question: How was the universe made?

      There are lots of different theories – but most people (including me!) believe that something called the Big Bang created the universe.
      The Big Bang was a giant explosion that happened between 10 and 20 billion years ago, it hurled matter in all directions and caused space itself to expand. Then as the universe cooled, the material in it combined to form galaxies, stars and planets.

      Also fun fact that I learned in one of the chats today – the Big Bang didn’t actually cause much noise at all!
