Question: I am about to do a bronze crest in science, did you ever do a crest at school and if so what was your topic?

Hi, to be honest I had never heard of a “bronze crest” so I looked it up. It sounds brilliant and if I would have had the chance at school I would have jumped at it. If you are keen I would certainly have a go.
Anything that makes your C.V. stand out from the crowd is a good thing, employers/universities look for the extra things you a have done when considering your applications. The main thing is to find something you enjoy doing and think about a topic you can do related to that.

I did the CREST scheme in Psychology and it was exactly what started my research career! It’s a great opportunity, very fun and it’ll also allow you to see what the world of work in science is like – definitely go for it!
