At work, a MASS SPECTROMETER…….it’s a machine for producing and measuring the mass of IONS and it transformed science as we know it today.

At home, it is a VACUUM CLEANER as it saves me time when having to do BORING housework.

mhmm that’s a tough one! There’s been so many great inventions, and with the advancements we have made in technology they keep getting more and more sophisticated!

I would have to say my personal favourite invention is the aeroplane, because without it we would not be able to go on holiday as easy as we can today, and be able to get to visit all the other fascinating places the world has to offer! Back in the old times it would take on average 3-4 weeks to sail from England to America, and now we can fly there in 8 hours! Which means I could fit in more trips in Disney World in my lifetime 😉

Ooo this is tricky. I think probably the internet and computers (I’m sneaking in 2!) – I couldn’t do my job without the internet because I work with a lot of different people in different teams across the UK but also around the world, so if we tried to do everything by post it would take a really, really long time. I can’t use the internet without a computer of some sort so that’s why I’ve sneaked that in too 🙂

Like Heidi I was going to say the internet as It has given me access to so much knowledge and the ability to talk too my family so easily even when I am far away.
So I will say the printing press!
This gave access to information to everyone (previously all books had to be written by hand and so they were very very rare and expensive), it led to people being educated and allowed huge advancements in our knowledge.
Without the printing press there would be no internet!
