I work with Seals, Penguins, Albatross and Whales. Most of my work is looking at Antarctic fur seals seeing what they do when they are at sea. As I can’t follow or see them directly I use miniature electronic devices to record their behaviour, such as where they have been or how they dived (how deep, how long etc).
But we also monitor lots of other things about all the animals that breed on the islands where I work. For example the number of chicks/pups born, how fast they grow and we can even look at their poo to see what they have been eating!
