• Question: when we breath where does the carbon dioxide go?

      The carbon dioxide that we breathe out goes into the air around us, and then there’s a whole cycle of carbon that means that the carbon dioxide is taken out of the air so that it can be used in other areas of life. Take a look at the diagram below – it’s quite complicated actually!

      Carbon dioxide goes back into the atmosphere, as so detailed in the carbon cycle Heidi has referenced. Carbon dioxide is then recycled by many different things including plants who turn it back into oxygen for us to breath. That’s why highlighting the danger of cutting down the rainforests, one of the Earth’s largest sources for plant life that help recycle carbon dioxide is such an important topic!
