      hmmm……difficult to think of a joke about the world ending. It’s Friday and I’m looking forward to the weekend so I’m going with a little puff of smoke in the galaxy caused by something or other.
      But in the parallel universe we will all still be going about our business and enjoying ourselves.

      Well hopefully the answer is not very soon.
      Ultimately when our sun runs out of fuel (hydrogen) it will start to collapse in on itself and then expand to become what is called a Red Giant. Unfortunately this will engulf the Earth so I guess we could call that the end of the world. But don’t panic this is estimated to happen some 7-8 billion years from now, So you have plenty of time to plan your escape!
