• Question: How many galaxies are there?

      mhmmm interesting! I wasn’t sure so had to look into this and found there are more than 170 billion galaxies just in the observable universe, which is only a part of the whole universe! Wow that’s a lot :O
      I think much prefer the galaxy chocolate bar though 😉

      The Hubble telescope revealed an estimated 100 billion galaxies, but as our technology improves and we are able to detect more, researchers think that this number will rise to 200 billion. Pretty mind blowing!

      as Emma and Heidi said the answer is billions.
      We use the word billions a great deal but it is hard to actually picture just how big a number a billion is.
      So how about this to count to ONE billion would take over 31 years if you never stopped to sleep or eat.
      so to count all the galaxies we can observe now would take well over 5,000 years!
