Sometimes, yes, but I also find science really enjoyable so even though it’s hard work it’s still interesting. It’s also definitely worth it – I love my job now and I’m glad I studied hard to get where I am now 🙂

My degrees were hard work, but then I think that is what made graduating and getting my degrees so rewarding! They say nothing worth having comes easy! I was learning new things on both my degrees and whilst I was good at maths at school, that was mainly from all the hard work I put into my homework and exam revision! So I had to keep up the same effort at university especially as the work I was doing was only get more complex!
However all the hard work I have done means now I am qualified to analyze and interpret data collected from clinical trials for new medicines and use my skills to help my other team members to understand the results so they can make informed decisions. Because I put in the hard work during my studies, they know don’t have to when it comes to understanding the data 😉 P.S. They still work very hard in their own roles though!

At times yes, but I don’t think it is harder than any other subjects. If you enjoy doing science then stick with your studies as there are so many different jobs you can do with scientific qualifications and they will always be useful in your day to day life as well.
