• Question: What inspired you to be a marine biologist

      Well despite growing up nowhere near the sea I was always fascinated by it and would spend all my time rock-pooling when on Holiday. I really wanted to learn to dive like Jacques Cousteau https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Cousteau a crazy french explorer who helped develop SCUBA diving.
      Also I was good at biology at school (well better than anything else) and importantly I enjoyed it so it was natural to keep on studying that.
