      Aerobic and anaerobic respiration are similar in that they both supply energy. They both produce by products. However aerobic respiration involves the use of oxygen while anaerobic respiration does not involve oxygen. Aerobic respiration also produces more energy than anaerobic respiration.

      Aerobic respiration needs oxygen to occur, while anaerobic does not. The presence of oxygen decides what products are made by the reaction. During aerobic respiration, carbon dioxide, water, and ATP are produced. During anaerobic respiration, lactic acid, ethanol, and ATP are created
