So currently I am working on 3 different clinical trials, and they all happen to be in therapeutic area of respiratory! This is purely by chance because in my company we are not assigned to one therapeutic area, meaning I could end up working on a variety of different drugs for different diseases during my career.

Trial 1 is for a new tablet for chronic cough. This study is nearly finished, so we are getting everything ready so we can analyse the results early next year when we have the last patient’s data entered.

Trial 2 is for a new inhaler for Asthma, we are currently in the set-up phase for this study and we will be having our first patients take part in the new year.

Trial 3 is a non-interventional study in Asthma and COPD. A non-interventional study is where no new treatment is investigated, but where you follow up the patients whilst they continue to use their normal prescribed medication from the doctor. This can be useful because it gives us information about how the drugs are used in every day life.

Unfortunately I am unable to disclose many other details about the trials as they are confidential and I would have to get the permission from the responsible pharmaceutical company to share the details!

However if you want to learn more about the diseases I currently work on and medications currently used to treat them please see the following links:
