• Question: your carear in research at the the british museum leads me to believe you can answer my question. when the suposid big bang occured it would have require alot of energy, but where would this energy come from

      Hi Pakman 1919,
      Actually, staff at the Natural History Museum are best placed to answer this. The British Musuem deal with human cultural life on the planet over the last two million years only. But that keeps us busy.

      Have you come across the first law of thermodynamics. Energy is always conserved, never created or destroyed. “Every single joule of energy in the universe today was present at the Big Bang 13.7 billion years ago.”

      So it was already there……
